Whoever was under the impression that Krupp was just a dull place of study for bored individuals had better reconsider their viewpoint because after Friday night, the Krupp Common Room is going to become one of the major chill-out spots in IUB.
Before, Krupp's Common Room looked desolate indeed: a lot of empty space, a few tiny pictures on the walls and an array of black armchairs cluttered around a big dining table at the end of the room. It was a dream-come-true for those organizing semi-official meetings, but a nightmare for most Kruppies who want to get together and relax.

However, thanks to the initiative of Krupp College Office, in association with the College Masters, Friday's New Furniture Party brought the era of desolation to an abrupt end. Here's how it happened:

1. Three shelves with magazines and other literature were added to various parts of the room.
2. Couches are passé! The cherry red-carpet-area in the upper-left corner of the room is yet to become an arena for wrestling matches and thoughtful conversations.
3. The cluster of armchairs around the table was broken up, ridding the Common Room of its scholarly character.
4. Curtains, lamps and decorative lights were added to give the room a homier atmosphere.
5. But the greatest contributions to the Common Room's new look are, in my opinion, the two marvellous paintings by Gianna Schellenberg that adorn the left wall of the room.

So having waved goodbye to the era of oblivion, let's embrace the new times of fun together in Krupp's transformed Common Room.
